Class & Collective Actions
Defending employers in complex multi-plaintiff and class-wide claims under federal and state wage-and-hour and employment statutes.
Attorney · Advocate · Pitmaster · Proud Dad
A senior employment attorney, political strategist and community leader at the intersection of law, policy, and equity.

Policy that does not begin with the lives of people will never find its way back to them. Meet them where they stand — and build from there toward where they deserve to be.
— Mitchell A. Robinson
Born in Chicago and raised in Atlanta, Mitch believes the law — at its best — is a tool for making sure everyone gets a fair shot. That conviction has guided him from Capitol Hill to his work today as one of Atlanta's most respected employment attorneys.
As Senior Counsel at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Mitch has spent nearly a decade guiding companies through high-stakes employment litigation — class and collective actions, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, government investigations, and discrimination claims.
Before law school at Northwestern Pritzker, Mitch worked as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives — an early lesson in how policy shapes people's lives. That intersection of law and policy has defined his career ever since.
A 2026 Presidential Leadership Scholar — a selective program built on the leadership of Presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson. Mitch's focus is criminal justice and legal reform: bringing the rigor of his practice to systems that should be more just, equitable, and humane.
His commitment to equity reaches well beyond the courtroom: General Counsel for 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Governance Chair of Planned Parenthood Southeast, and Strategic Planning Chair for the Georgia Democratic Party. Not résumé lines — a belief that lawyers should show up for their communities, not just their clients.
Away from the office, Mitch is a proud dad to Sophia, who keeps life in perspective. He's a self-taught BBQ pitmaster — slow-and-low brisket, ribs that say everything about patience, timing, and love. The same eye for craft carries into a love of music, fashion, and live experience that feels considered and entirely his own.
